Zanjeer is out of the woods. ACP Vijay Khanna aka Ram Charan is free to work his magic at the box office. The Mumbai High Court gave the all clear to Zanjeer's release after the plea of writers Javed Akhtar and Salim Khan was dismissed.
The writers had tried to stall the release of the film, demanding monetary compensation for remaking the original Zanjeer which had Amitabh Bachchan as the cop. Their timing as well as demand for money proved their undoing, as the court dismissed them on those grounds.
Charan, Priyanka Chopra and director Apoorva Lakhia, along with the rest of the film's cast and crew, can be, rest assured, confident of a good run for Zanjeer. It is Toofan that they should worry about. The state's bifurcation issue has enveloped all big releases in a cloud of gloom.
Looking at bright side, Charan had reportedly said that all this negative publicity also counts as publicity. Way to go ACP!
