Charan is presently promoting his next flick Zanjeer along with his co-star Priyanka Chopra. After looking uncomfortable on Jahalak Dikhlaja, the actor got nervous at Indian Idol Junior grand finale.
When queried about how he feels to be on the show, he said that his palms are wet, much to everyone's amusement. On further prompting, he revealed a hidden talent within him that we would never have guessed.
No, he did not break into a song and dance routine, but he did express that as someone who took Carnatic singing lessons for many years, he is awed by these kids. He said he understands the hard work they put into their stage performances and don't know how these tremendously talented kids do it.
So, there you go. He used to sing? No wonder the kids made him nervous. He probably feared that someone would force him to sing. However, he didn't disappoint, as Charan and Priyanka performed to Zanjeer songs onstage.
Incidentally, Priyanka's ex Shahid Kapoor and Zanjeer's original angry young man Amitabh Bachchan were also present at the grand finale. Shahid was there to promote his upcoming film 'Phata Poster Nikhla Hero', which has Ileana playing the female lead.
Moreover, Charan will have competition for Zanjeer from Priyanka's sister, as Parineeti Chopra's 'Shuddh Desi Romance' is also releasing on 6th September. Parineeti promoted her film on the same episode as Charan on Jhalak Dikhlaja.
