The filmmakers of Vijay's Thalaiva are one relieved lot. After much heartache, the Tamil Nadu Government has finally agreed to release the film. Vijay can breathe a sigh of relief.
Thalaiva is scheduled to release on Tuesday in the state. The film had already released in all other places except Tamil Nadu due to a threat of bomb attacks in the theaters showing Thalaiva. The threat was politically driven, even though the film itself does not target anyone.
Despite a long holiday weekend having passed, Thalaiva can expect a good run at the Tamil box office, purely based on superstar Vijay and his prevalence over the movie's ban. First he used tender emotions in a letter, then he used angry frustration in a protest. A nail biting month has ended on a positive note for the actor.
