The celebrated director was born 17th August, 1963, in Kumbakonam. He has hit a half century today. Shankar's film with the other evergreen star Rajinikanth are noted to his day. Shivaji and Robot are blockbusters that the whole nation is aware of.

Shankar is a an excellent visionary when it comes to Cinema. His approach and presentation has the 'satta' to drive home a message while providing amazing entertainment. The director's films are also mostly associated with great songs that support the film's flow. He is currently making Manoharudu with Vikram.
