Cannes Film Festival 2013 was declared open by Amitabh Bachchan and Leonardo DiCaprio.  

Amitabh Bachchan played a cameo role in the movie Great Gatsby which was the inaugural movie in the film festival.  The title role was played by DiCaprio.  Amitabh's cool and poised presence in the opening of the film festival seems as if Cannes is honoring the moment of India on its celebrating completion of Cinema's 100 years.  

The Jury is headed by the famous Hollywood director Steven Spielberg.  Vidya Balan is one of the Jury members in the film festival.  Mallika Sherawat with all her glamour is found very considerate and liberal in giving daring poses to the photographers.

The festival of the show business opened with the exhibition of Great Gatsby as announced but, as the reports came as of now, the film failed in thrilling the audience there as it did not reach the expectations of the readers of the love story written by Scott Fitzgerald.
