Can Mani's associations with Kamal hamper Kadali release

Filmmakers are a little worried over vindictive politics entering the tinsel world. This was visible in the delay in Viswaroopam's release. While most of them are counting their stars (astronomical)  over their fortunes, versatile Mani Ratinam is the most worried of the lot. It may be noted that the noted director is releasing his Kadali across the globe on Friday.

Well why should he be worried, firstly the ace director is related to Dr Kamal Haasan and is closely associated as well. Secondly it is also a big budgeted film. Thirdly the film deals with sensitive issues like ethnicity and Sri Lankan issue.

Apart from all this the character of Arvind Swamy as church father might attract resistance if portrayed in a dim light. However sources confirm that his character had been etched out grandiosely, which would bring pride to the community.

As of now Mani need not sulk over the issue, but of course the labour pains that fill butterflies in the stomach before every film release, can no way  be helped as it is customary. (Wishesh AarKay)
