"58th Idea Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award" to Late filmmaker Yash ji

The Lifetime Achievement Award for contribution towards Hindi cinema was given to the late filmmaker Yash Chopra at the 58th Idea Filmfare Awards by beautiful actress Madhuri Dixit to the late filmmaker's wife Pamela Chopra.

The Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award is given by the Filmfare magazine as part of its annual Filmfare Awards for Hindi films.

To speak more on the legendary filmmaker, Yash Chopra was an Indian filmmaker and scriptwriter who directed as many as 22 films in his career spanning more than five decades. He debuted with the film Dhool Ka Phool in 1959. His subsequent popular films include Waqt, Deewaar, Trishul, Kala Patthar and Mashaal. He was particularly famous for his handling of the romance genre and his love stories like Daag, Kabhi Kabhi, Silsila, Chandni, Lamhe, Darr, Dil Toh Pagal Hai and Veer-Zaara are immortal in Bollywood, Jab Tak Hai Jaan being his last release in 2012.

With the sad death of this personality, it was considered as death of romance from the industry as he was the one, who taught the masses to romance and believe in 'someone somewhere is made of us'.

Its really mournful that we have lost such a legendary filmmaker!
