Dil Raju's 'Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalli Chettu' (SVSC) is planning to overtake V V Vinayak's 'Naayak'. SVSC got tagged by critics as a thorough family entertainer but lagged behind the Ram Charan's film, on the comedy part.
Naayak though violent in some sequences moved like gentle breeze on the whole, due to the refreshing comedy by Brahmanandam, M S Narayan, Jayaprakash and Posani.
This was one thing that was devoid in SVSC. This multi-starer film with Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu, impressed with a neat storyline and histrionics but was voted against by a few on lacking of comical sequences.
However, originally, SVSC had a strong comedy track involving Dr Brahmanandam, but director Srikant Addala preferred to cut the scenes to reduce the length of the film. The filmmaker's view was to present the film filled with human values and happy relationships.
But this indulgence might see a drop in the revenues by the end of this week when the holidays are over. Hence the crew plans to insert the comedy tracks, back into the film and plan to cut some unwanted melodrama sequences, aiding to the success, on the long run.
As per the grapevine the tailoring of the film is sure to attract the more audiences to the theatres. Ultimately cinema is an entertainment media and only tutoring would do no good. (Wishesh AarKay)
