OMG! BJP sad with "Radha"

The former information and broadcasting minster and the leader of opposition in Lok Sabha, Sushma Swaraj expressed her concerns about the alleged negative portrayal of Hinduism in Bollywood movies. She is going to raise the issue in the forthcoming winter session of the parliament.

Speaking at a cow protection center organized by the RSS in New Delhi she questioned the objective of some Bollywood flicks by saying  “I came to know about the attack on Hindu beliefs in two recent movies-'Oh my God' and 'Student of the Year'. In the latter, there are references to Radha not knowing how to dance and being invited to the dance floor to learn dancing. Why is it that the attack in films is only on Hindu beliefs and on names like Sita, Radha and Kaushalya?. There are thousands of names so why pick on these names? We will raise this issue in the forthcoming Parliament session and demand that this be stopped".

She was quick to add that Bollywood is partial to other religions  when it comes to portray a sacred name and hinted that the fear of backlash from radical elements from the other religions may be the case here. She went on further "Some politicians tell me that they are not able to raise such issues due to their political affiliation or as their party does not permit. Others say you raise it and we will support while lend tacit support," .

It appears if NDA comes to power again and if Mrs Swaraj somehow gets the I&B ministry again, she may teach a lesson to Bollywood for indulging such things which upsets the ideology of the right wing party.
