English Vinglish by Gauri Shinde well supported by the acting talents of Sridevi, push the star to the fore fronts of the ratings during her second innings. Sridevi has not lost an atom of sheen and is still the same old bankable star. English Vinglish leaves an everlasting impression on the viewer, making the film a landmark in the star's career.

The feel good factor of the film is its hilarious entertainment as Sridevi, a middle aged house wife, Shashi, tries to muster English to aid her cousins settled abroad. The various vagaries faced by the lady form the hilarious part of the film. The cast includes Adil Hussain, Mehdi Nebbou and Priya Anand.  

Now the local south film fraternity has opened up the doors to welcome the once southern beauty. Ask he if she would be a part of Kollywood ventures again, she chirps in, 'Why not, after all it is a Tamil cinema which gave me an identity. There is no hurry for me to work in a slew of films.
