A R Rehman nominated for 7 GIMA awards

Musical whiz A R Rehman has been the most common man for awards. His music legacy continues from Roja to Slumdog Milionaire and the awards are neumerous. He has grabbed the honours in the most elite events. Be it the Oscars or the Grammys, Rehman has all of them in his kitty. In fact the latest buzz is about his nomination in seven categories for the Global Indian Music Academy (GIMA) Awards.

His blockbuster music for the Ranbhir Kapoor 's Rockstar had hit the chart tops when the film was released and again it is in news. The Mozart of Chennai is now nominated in the following categories.

1. Best Music Arranger and Programmer

2. Best Background Score

3. Best Playback Singer Male along with Javed Ali

4. Best Playback Singer Male along with Mohit Chauhan

5. Best Music Director

6. Best Film Song

7. Best Film Album

Though not an easy job, the Mozart is sure to romp home with the maximum GIMA awards this time, say industry critics. Probably A R Rehman is sure to need a separate quarters to house his prized possessions.
