S Sreesanth, the former pace bowler of India, on Thursday married a girl from an erstwhile Jaipur royal family. The couple married in a simple ceremony held at Sree Krishna temple in Kerela's Guruvayur. Later the couple will visit Sreesanth’s ancestral home at Kothmangalam in Ernakulam district.

Sreesanth and his wife Bhuvanesh Kumari, a fashion designer, were dating for quite some time. Both the families stood by Sreesanth in his troubled times. During the last Indian Premier League, the cricketer was jailed after his name came up in a scandal relating to match-fixing. In September, the BCCI banned him for life from cricket of all forms after finding him guilty in charges of match-fixing.
