Australia vs India, 1st Test, Melbourne: IV day: IND: 282, 127/7 (39 Ovs), India need 165 runs. Tough situation for Team India. Dhoni: batting with 22 runs.
As the former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly wrote in his columns the ground preparation needs to be commended at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne, Australia, where India play against Australia in their first test match. The fourth day of the match is no different with runs coming in at a slower pace but wickets knocked down at a better pace. The third day of play saw nearly 15 wickets fall. The day is no better too.
The situation out there is in favor of the hosts as the Indians are struggling after the top order collapses. Bowlers brought back the guests into the game but the batsman failed. Other than Sachin (32) and Ashwin (30) the entire pack was out without much work with the willow. Indians are right now down by 127/7 at the end of 39 overs. Dhoni and Zaheer are battling in the middle. The victory, if at all does prevail on the guests, will only depend on the captains knock only. Today it was Siddle more successful till now when he got three Indian wickets. Indians are trailing behind the hosts by 165 runs, right now an impossible target.
