The India - West Indies, just concluded really helped the Indian psych to revive. The latest is the ODI series between the two to commence today at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack . Now the big question is, will India fare well and the beat the visitors minus Sachin, Dhoni, Yuvvy and pacer Praveen Kumar? Will the visitors able to make a pull over after the test defeat? Much has to be acknowledged to the visitors who looked to make a pull over in the final test which ended in a draw. Well the captaincy on Virender Sehwag also is a Damocles sword hanging on the batsman, who is just getting into the rhythm. And this would pave way, if he is successful for dual captain phenomena which the board has been contemplating since the English debacle. Lots of unanswered questions only shall unwind during the early part of tonight, when the contest unfolds between the willow and the mini globe.
The trophy for the five-match One-day series between India and the West Indies was unveiled on Monday at a glittering ceremony at Bhuvaneswar. The trophy was unveiled in the presence of India's stand-in captain Virender Sehwag and his West Indies counterpart Darren Sammy.
Meanwhile the successful spinner off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is to be awarded with Dilip Sardesai award for being the best performer in the recently concluded home Test series against West Indies. He will be given the award at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) awards ceremony on December 10 in Chennai. The award comprises a trophy and a cheque for Rs 5 lakh.
