Cricket baby fighters Ireland today asked the West Indies to bat first after winning the toss in their World Cup Group B encounter at Mohali in Chandigarh.

Ireland must win at least two of the last three group matches if it wants to reach quarterfinals where as a berth for the West Indies will almost be reserved in the quarter finals if it wins the day match today. West Indies have already beaten the Netherlands and Bangladesh in its two earlier encounters.

After the today’s match with the West Indies, Ireland will play against South Africa and Netherlands in the next few days. Ireland captain William Porterfield decided to field first as the pitch was found to be seam friendly.
