Pune Warriors win the war against Kochi Tuskers

PUNE-IPLChasing 149 to win after Kochi Tuskers Kerala won the toss and batted first, Pune Warriors sneaked home to a four-wicket win with little known Mohnish Mishra making a breezy 37 not out from 21 balls in their league match encounter in the on-going IPL season 4 at Mumbai on Wednesday.

As Kochi Tuskers used wisely their slow bowlers to clobber the free-stroking Pune Warriors, Yuvraj Singh fell when he cut Brad Hodge and Robin Uthappa perished for a taunting ball of Muttiah Muralitharan.

When the match seemed to be slipping out of hands for the Warriors, it was left to a low profile Mohnish Mishra to deal with the harassing bowling of Kochi Tuskers. Mishra went for two massive sixes and a four in Muralitharan’s last over to become the top-scorer for the home team and take it to victory.

Pune Warriors amassed 151 for six in 18.5 overs and Mohnish Mishra was rightfully declared the man of the match.
