T20 World Cup: India Slam Netherlands for a Comfortable Win:- Team India opened the T20 International World Cup 2022 with a bang and reported a historic victory against Pakistan. In their second match, India played with the Netherlands and it was a pretty comfortable victory for the team. India won the toss and elected to bat first. The match took place in SCG, Australia. Team India scored 179 runs for the loss of two wickets in their 20 overs. Virat Kohli has been outstanding and he scored 62 not out in 44 deliveries and is the top scorer for the side. Rohit Sharma (53) and Suryakumar Yadav (51 not out) are the other top scorers for the side among the Indian batsmen. Paul van Meekeren (1/32), Fred Klaassen (1/33) and Shariz Ahmad (0/5) had the best spells among the bowlers of the Netherlands.
Chasing a huge target of 180, the Netherlands tumbled down and scored 123 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their 20 overs. Tim Pringle (20), Colin Ackermann (17) and Max O'Dowd (16) are the top scorers among the batsmen of the Netherlands. Bhuvneshwar Kumar (2/9), Axar Patel (2/18) and Ravichandran Ashwin (2/21) took the major wickets among the Indian bowlers and won the match by 56 runs. Suryakumar Yadav has been named as the Player of the Match. Team India will play with South Africa in their next match on October 30th on Sunday.
