India and England Test Series Ends Up as a Tie:- The final test between India and England which got delayed due to the pandemic commenced in Edgbaston and England emerged as the winner and tied the series by 2-2. The host had 119 runs to score on the last day in 100 overs and they had seven wickets left. England completed the chase without losing a wicket and reported victory by seven wickets. Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow completed their centuries and scored 142, 114 respectively. Indian bowlers had to sweat out a lot to break the partnership but they could not. Joe Root has been announced as the Player of the Series and Jonny Bairstow has been named as the Player of the Match.

India scored 416 in their first innings and Rishabh Pant (146), Ravindra Jadeja (104) are the top scorers. England went all out for 284 in their first innings and Jonny Bairstow (106), Sam Billings (36) have been the top scorers. Mohammed Siraj (4/66) and Jasprit Bumrah (3/68) took the most of the wickets. In the second innings, India scored 245 and Cheteshwar Pujara (66), Rishabh Pant (57) are the top scorers for the side. England had a complete chase of 378 and they completed the match by losing 3 wickets. India will play three T20s with England and the first match will take place on July 7th.
