After star cricketer Virat Kohli stepped down from the captain's space for Team India, Rohit Sharma has been asked to take up the call. India slammed West Indies with a white wash in the ODI series. Ahead of the first T20 match with West Indies, Rohit Sharma interacted with the media. He came out to support Virat Kohli when the media personnel questioned about the inconsistency of Virat. Rohit Sharma was asked if Virat is in the right Mental Space. Rohit Sharma had a fitting reply saying "If you guys keep quiet, he will be alright. He is in a great mental space as per my knowledge. He has been playing international cricket from a decade and he knows the best to handle the pressure" told Rohit Sharma.
"If you guys leave him for alone for a while, everything will bee in the right place" told Rohit Sharma. He interacted with the media through a virtual conference. Team India will play three T20s with West Indies and the first match will take place tomorrow. Washington Sundar has been out of the team and the T20 series due to left hamstring muscle strain. Kuldeep will replace Sundar in the team. The second and third T20 matches will take place on Friday and Sunday respectively. All the three T20s will take place in Kolkata's Eden Gardens considering the coronavirus spread.
