South Africa Levels The Test Series After An Easy Chase:- After a disastrous defeat in the first test match, South Africa bounced back in the second test against India and reported a decent victory on the fourth day. The target was 240 and South Africa completed the chase by losing three wickets and reported a seven-wicket victory in the second test. Before this, India scored 202 in their first innings and South Africa scored 229 in their first. Team India has been decent and scored 266 in their second innings. In their second innings for Team India, Ajinkya Rahane (58) and Cheteshwar Pujara (53) are the top scorers for the side.
Lungi Ngidi (3/43) and Marco Jansen (3/67) took the wickets among the South African bowlers. Chasing the target of 240, Dean Elgar (96 not out) and Rassie van der Dussen (40) have been good with the bat. Ravichandran Ashwin (1/26) and Shardul Thakur (1/47) took the wickets among the Indian bowlers. Dean Elgar has been named as the Player of the Match for his contribution to the match. The third test between India and South Africa will take place from January 11th and India will play three ODIs with South Africa after the completion of the test series.
