Yuvraj Singh Lands Into New Troubles:- Indian ex-cricketer Yuvraj Singh has been arrested in Haryana on Saturday and he was released on bail. A complaint has been registered after Yuvraj Singh used caste remarks during an Instagram live interaction against young cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. Yuvraj Singh issued an apology calling it unintentional and he said that he was misunderstood. Yuvraj Singh and Rohit Sharma participated in the live session discussing about the TikTok videos of Yuzvendra Chahal. Yuvraj Singh has been arrested in this case by the Hisar cops and he was released on bail.
A complaint was filed by a Dalit activist in February 2021 in Haryana demanding action against Yuvraj Singh and a case was registered under the Scheduled Castes and Tribes Prevention of Atrocities Act. Yuvraj Singh surrendered before the cops and he was questioned for three hours. He was then taken into custody and was released on bail. The final report will be submitted in the next few days in a special SC/ST court in Hisar. Yuvraj Singh has been asked to appear for the court hearings in Hisar. The community feels that they are insulted and Yuvraj Singh has to prove his guilt. The Dalit activist Mr Kalsan said that they will challenge the issue in the Supreme Court.
"If I have unintentionally hurt anybody's sentiments or feelings", adding that his "love for India and all its people is eternal". I understand that while I was having a conversation with my friends, I was misunderstood, which was unwarranted. However, as a responsible Indian I want to say that if I have unintentionally hurt anybody's sentiments or feelings, I would like to express regret for the same. My love for India and all its people is eternal" told Yuvraj Singh's statement.
