IPL 2021: CSK Reports A Thrilling Win Against MI:- The Indian Premiere League 2021 for the year was kept on hold after the coronavirus cases in India reached an alarming high. The officials of BCCI had to cancel the tournament abruptly and they announced that the tournament will resume soon after normalcy returns as there is a huge stake involved. The IPL 2021 resumed in United Arab Emirates (UAE) last night and the first match happened between the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI). CSK won the toss and elected to bat first. An early decline of wickets made the team lose hopes on the match but CSK bounced back on a faster note which made them score 156 for the loss of 6 wickets in their 20 overs.
Rutraj Gaikwad (88 not out) saved the team and made CSK get a respectable score. Ravindra Jadeja (26) and Dwayne Bravo (23) have been decent with the bat. Adam Milne (2/21), Jasprit Bumrah (2/33) and Trent Boult (2/35) have been decent among the bowlers of the Mumbai Indians. Chasing a total of 157, Mumbai Indians struggled hard and fell short of 20 runs. The team had to settle for 136 for the loss of 8 wickets in their 20 overs. Saurabh Tiwary (50 not out) is the only top scorer for the side. Dwayne Bravo (3/25), Deepak Chahar (2/19) and Shardul Thakur (1/29) have been decent among the bowlers of CSK. Rutraj Gaikwad was named as the Player of the Match. Kolkata Knight Riders will fight with Royal Challengers Banglore in today's match of IPL 2021.
