Rahul Dravid will coach Team India in Sri Lankan Tour:- Indian ex-cricketer Rahul Dravid will coach the team in the upcoming Sri Lankan tour and the news is confirmed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly. The Indian squad for the short Sri Lankan tour has been finalized recently and the team is currently in 14 days institutional quarantine in Mumbai. Rahul Dravid has been assisting India A and under-19 teams for the past few years. He has been a strength for developing the bench of players for the country.
Team India will play three ODIs along with three T20s with Sri Lanka from July 13th to 27th. Shikar Dhawan will lead Team India and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar is named as the Vice-captain for the team during the Sri Lankan tour. The current Indian coach Ravi Shastri will be with the Indian team which will, be playing the test series with England during the same time. Virat Kohli will lead team India in the England tour. Rahul Dravid is also the head of Cricket Operations at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. BCCI President Sourav Ganguly spoke about resuming IPL 2021 saying that BCCI has written to UAE for tax exemption and is waiting for their response.
