IPL 2021 to resume in UAE in September:- With the tense situations of coronavirus in India, the IPL 2021 has been kept on hold. Even staying in the bubble, some of the players are tested positive for coronavirus. Some of the foreign players decided to return back to their homes after a sudden rise in the new cases of coronavirus in India. After conducting a series of meetings, the officials of BCCI decided to put the season on hold though they are staring at huge losses. The latest update coming says that BCCI chalked out a plan to resume the season in United Arab Emirates (UAE) in September this year. The entire season is expected to complete in a month.

BCCI is currently holding talks with the England Cricket Board (ECB) to reduce the gap between the second and third test matches between India and England. As per the current plans, IPL 2021 will start from September 15th and will be completed by October 15th if things go as per the right plan. 31 matches are pending and they are planned to be completed with eight double matches in the four weekends. A special meeting will be held on May 29th and the plans will be made official soon after the meeting. The discussion about the ICC T20 World Cup and the test series schedule between India and England will be discussed during this crucial meeting.

The ICC T20 World Cup is scheduled to be played from October 18th in India. If the situations of coronavirus continue to be the same in India, the tournament will be shifted to UAE as per the BCCI officials. The final call will be taken on June 2nd in the ICC meeting. As of now, BCCI has plans to conduct IPL 2021 in Dubai.
