First Test: Team India all out for 244:- After winning the T20 series, Team India is testing their luck in the test series against Australia. The first test of the Gavaskar-Border Series started yesterday and it is a day-night test. India won the toss and elected to bat in the test. Though they struggled initially to withstand before the pace of the Australian bowlers, Team India managed to stand decent and scored 233 for the loss of 6 wickets on the day one. On the second day of the innings, India lost their last four wickets by adding just 11 runs.
India made 244 in their first innings. Virat Kohli is the top scorer for the side with 74 runs. Cheteshwar Pujara (43) and Ajinkya Rahane (42) have been decent from the Indian side. All the other batsmen failed to register decent individual scores. Mitchell Starc (4/53) has been outstanding among the Australian bowlers. Pat Cummins (3/48), Josh Hazlewood (1/47) and Nathan Lyon (1/68) are decent among the Australian bowlers. With four days left, the result for the first test is expected to be out and it would not head for a draw. The match is taking place in Adelaide Oval.
