IPL 2020: Punjab Defeats Delhi By 5 Wickets:- Indian star batsman Shikhar Dhawan surprised everyone with his second ton in a row in IPL 2020 but his century went into vain after Kings XI Punjab defeated Delhi Capitals by five wickets in the last match that took place last night. Delhi Capitals won the toss and elected to bat first. Shikar Dhawan (106 not out) in 61 balls helped Delhi Capitals get a respectable total of 164/5 in their 20 overs. None of the other batsmen got a decent score with the bat. Mohammed Shami (2/28) and James Neesham (1/17) got the best numbers among the bowlers of Kings XI Punjab.
Chasing a total of 165, Kings XI Punjab never felt the stress and completed the chase in 19 overs. Nicholas Pooran (53), Glenn Maxwell (32) are the top scorers for Kings XI Punjab and they scored 167/5. Kagiso Rabada (2/27), Axar Patel (1/27) and R Ashwin (1/27) have been decent with the ball from Delhi Capitals. Shikhar Dhawan has been named as the Player of the Match for his outstanding 106 not out. With this victory, Kings XI Punjab gained hopes to reach the qualifiers. They are currently in the fifth place in the points table. Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Banglore and Kolkata Knight Riders are on the top four places of IPL 2020 chart. The 39th match will take place today between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Banglore.
