IPL 2020: Mumbai Indians slash Rajasthan Royals by 57 runs:- Rajasthan Royals looked quite impressive during the start of the latest season of IPL. But a series of defeats made them slip down to rock bottom in the points table. In the 20th match between Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians, Mumbai won the toss and elected to bat. They registered a decent total of 193 for the loss of four wickets in their 20 overs. Though wickets tumbled down at regular intervals, Mumbai batsmen managed to score boundaries and maintain the run rate. Suryakumar Yadav was the top scorer for the side and his 79 not out is a top-class knock. Rohit Sharma scored 35 and Hardik Pandya was 30 not out and contributed well during the final overs.
Shreyas Gopal (2/28), Jofra Archer (1/34) and Kartik Tyagi (1/36) were decent among the bowlers of Rajasthan Royals. Chasing a total of 194, Rajasthan batsmen tumbled down badly. Except for Jos Buttler (70), none of the batsmen from Rajasthan Royals managed to stand before Mumbai bowlers. Archer (24) was decent. Jasprit Bumrah (4/20) was outstanding in his 4 overs spell. James Pattinson (2/19) and Trend Boult (2/26) have been well supportive. Suryakumar Yadav has been named as the Player of the Match for his outstanding 79 not out in just 47 balls. With this victory, Mumbai Indians are on the top of the points table and is followed by Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
