Women's T20 World Cup Semi-Final Abandoned:- Team India has been doing exceptionally well in the Women's T20 World Cup that is taking place in Australia. A crucial semifinal match is planned today between India and England today and the match was abandoned and washed out without a ball being played due to rain. India will now make it for the final on the basis of having a lead in the number of points in the table. For the first time, the Indian women's team reached to the final under the leadership of Harmanpreet Kaur. There was no reserve day for the semifinal.
There was a cut-off time of 4.51 PM to start a ten-over match. But due to the heavy drizzle, the match was abandoned. India won all the four matches in the league stage and is on the top in the Group B. England lost one match and is set to fight with India. “Really frustrating. Not how we wanted the World Cup to finish for us. No reserve day, no chance of getting play, and ultimately that loss against South Africa cost us,” said Heather Knight, England captain after they lost a chance for the final. The second semifinal will take place between South Africa and Australia. The final will take place between India and the winner of the second semifinal on Sunday in Melbourne.
