Tit for Tat: India Slams West Indies by 107 Runs:- After a defeat in the first ODI, Team India bounced back with a bang in the second match that took place last evening in Vizag. West Indies won the toss and elected to bowl first. India shocked West Indies with a record total of 387/5 in their 50 overs. Rohit Sharma (159) and KL Rahul (102) slammed Windies bowlers and added a record partnership of 227 for the first wicket. They broke Sourav Ganguly and Virender Sehwag's 17-year-old partnership with this brilliant innings. Shreyas Iyer's 53 in the last overs made India get a remarkable total in their 50 overs.
West Indies bowlers were completely expensive in their spells. Sheldon Cottrell (2/83), Kieron Pollard (1/20) and Keemo Paul (1/57) managed to get wickets. Chasing a huge total of 388, West Indies batsmen could not stand before the pressure and they tumbled down for 280 in 43.3 overs. Shai Hope (78), Nicholas Pooran (75) and Keemo Paul (46) are the top scorers for their side. Mohammed Shami (3/39), Kuldeep Yadav (3/52) and Ravindra Jadeja (2/74) managed to get the wickets. Rohit Sharma has been named as the Man of the Match for his beautiful knock of 159. The third and deciding third ODI will take place on Sunday in Barabati Stadium, Cuttack.
