Bangladesh is touring in India and the first T20 international took place last night in New Delhi. Bangladesh won the toss and elected to field first. India had to struggle a lot to get a decent total on board. In their 20 overs, India managed to get 148 for the loss of 6 wickets. Shikhar Dhawan (41), Rishabh Pant (27) and Shreyas Iyer (22) are the top scorers for the side. Aminul Islam (2/22), Shafiul Islam (2/36) and Afif Hossain (1/11) have been decent with the ball.
Chasing 149, Bangladesh looked rock steady and never struggled in their chase. They registered a comfortable victory completing the target in 19.3 overs for the loss of just three wickets. Mushfiqur Rahim (60 not out), Soumya Sarkar (39) and Mohammad Naim (26) are the top scorers for their side. Yuzvendra Chahal (1/24), Deepak Chahar (1/24) and Khaleel Ahmed (1/37) managed to get three wickets for the side. Mushfiqur Rahim has been named as the Player of the Match for his good knock. The second T20 international will take place on November 7th.
