After a Fierce Argument With Umpires, Dhoni Fined Heavily:- A no-ball decision in the last over triggered controversy after Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni walked into the field and triggered argument with the umpire. The Mr Cool captain lost his cool and walked straightaway into the playing arena to seek clarification from the standing umpires regarding the no-ball. The incident took place last night in Jaipur when CSK clashed with Rajasthan Royals in the league match. As a result, MS Dhoni was fined 50% of his match fee which left his fans disappointed.
IPL released a statement saying "MS Dhoni, the Chennai Super Kings captain, was fined 50 percent of his match fees for breaching the Indian Premier League's Code of Conduct during his team's match against Rajasthan Royals at Jaipur. Dhoni admitted to the Level 2 offense 2.20 of the IPL's Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction". The straight umpire Ulhas Gandhe called it a no-ball but the other umpire deferred for his decision. MS Dhoni accepted the sanction but the team was quite happy for the victory.
Chennai Super Kings won the toss and elected to field. Rajasthan Royals made 151/7 and Chennai Super Kings chased the target in the last ball after Mitchell Santner slammed the ball for a six.
