First T20: India Gets A Comfortable Win Against West Indies:- After losing the one day series to India, West Indies wanted to prove themselves and bounce back in the T20 series. West Indies has been asked to bat first in the first T20 in Kolkata and they ended up scoring 109/8 in 20 overs. West Indies batsmen struggled to make their impact and could not stand before Kuldeep Yadav's wrist spin who registered 3/13 in his spell. Pacers Yadav and Khaleel have been well supportive.
With India losing 4 wickets for 45, local boy Karthik took the lead and scored 31 from 34 balls which made India chase the target with 13 balls remaining. Pandya supported Karthik with his 21 not out. This is India's first T20 victory against West Indies since 2014. Captain Virat Kohli has been rested and Rohit Sharma took his place. This is the first T20 for India without Mahendra Singh Dhoni after he was ignored for T20s.
