On its official website, Indian Premier League (IPL) has revealed the actual salary figures, of all retained players.
Many felt that, MS Dhoni would be the highest paid player of IPL. But the actual figures on the website, slashed all the speculations.
India's Test skipper Virat Kohli tops the list. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is paying a whopping Rs 15 crore (USD 2.26 million) to this gentleman, while Dhoni will be paid USD 1.89 million by his new Pune team.
Not to the surprise of many, Chris Gayle is the highest-paid overseas cricketer in IPL.
