Sachin unavailable for Indian Grand Prix

Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar who was invited the last time for the first Indian Grand Prix to wave the checkered flag decided to give a miss this year as he decided to concentrate more on the Ranji Trophy match for his state, Mumbai Team which is to vie with Railways.

The motorsports enthusiast has been practicing with his Mumbai team. He is only four tons away from Sunil Gavaskar's record of the most Tons and runs in the first class cricket. The Little Master has a only a few months time before he turns 40 this April.

The match between Railways and Mumbai is expected to begin on November 2, which would be the first match of this Ranji season. Sachin has espoused his first class cricket temporarily three years ago and this re-entry would end his absence from the first class cricket.

Ajay Maken, the sports minister, was offered a chance to wave the checkered flag but he has not responded to the invitation. Other celebs like Kumara Sangakkara, Yuvraj Singh, Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik would be present at the high profile race at Buddh International Circuit.

Bollywood actors Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha will also be there to get a taste of the high speed action and promote their upcoming film 'Son of Sardar'.
