Lung cancer is in the air around us

There are several travelers especially between home and work being husky and strained due to atmospheric pollutants combined with fog have been long believed to be guilty. It has been finally scientifically validated to be the deadly air pollution that causes lung cancer.

Further on, the International Agency for Research on Cancer brought into prominence during Thursday that air pollution is a carcinogen, alongside known dangers such as asbestos, tobacco and ultraviolet radiation. The decision came subsequent to a consultation by an expert panel organised by IARC, the cancer agency of the World Health Organisation, which is based in Lyon, France.

Mr Kurt Straif, head of the IARC department that evaluates cancer-causing substances that they  consider this to be the most crucial environmental carcinogen, more so than passive smoking. IARC has previously deemed some of the components in air pollution such as diesel fumes to be carcinogens, on the contrary this is the first time it has classified air pollution in its completeness as sufficient reason for causing cancer.

If not clear the entire atmospheric pollutants which is not feasible, one can of course take care of ourselves by taking the proper precautions. Stay healthy and safe while avoiding the deadly air to entire our body. We must be aware while also create awareness among all to use the precautions to safeguard ourselves. For example masks can be used for not allowing the unwanted air to enter the body through nose and mouth.

Stay healthy, keep others healthy!
