Charlotte America Telugu Association (ATA) team has celebrated ATA Roju 2012, which happened to be the first ATA event in Greater Charlotte area. This grand event took place on May 26 at Charlotte Hindu Center. As many as 250 people gathered on the weekend and celebrated the day. ATA president Dr. Rajender Jinna was the chief guest of the event. Singers Vijayalakshmi, Sheshagiri Rao and Nanda Chatla presided over the programme.
The president of ATA, Dr. Rajender Jinna said that it was the need of the hour to preserve the Telugu culture on the foreign land. Addressing the gathering, he elucidated some of the developmental activities of ATA.
He has also invited all Telugu people in US to attend the 2012 ATA Conference that’s round the corner. The local Telugu families contributed $60,000 towards 2012 ATA conference.
