He is the richest Indian for the ninth consecutive year as per the IIFL Wealth Hurun India Rich List 2020. Mukesh Ambani is the only Indian in the list of top five richest persons in the world. His total wealth stands at 6,58,400 crores. Mukesh Ambani's wealth is bigger than the combined wealth of the next five in the list of the richest Indians.

Hinduja Brothers, HCL's Shiv Nadar, Gautam Adani and Azim Premji are in the top five of the list. Mukesh Ambani is earning Rs 1.5 crores per minute when the entire nation is struggling during this pandemic situation. His wealth surged by 73 percent this year. He is the richest businessman in Asia currently. The cumulative wealth of the Indian businessmen stands at Rs 60 trillion which came up by 20 percent when compared to 2019. India has 179 billionaires and this came up by 13 percent when compared to 2019. With a wealth of Rs 4500 crores, OYO Rooms CEO Ritesh Agarwal aged 26 is the youngest in the list.
