Amazon To Acquire A Stake In Bharti Airtel:- As per the ongoing news, Amazon is in plans to acquire the stake in India's leading mobile operator Bharti Airtel for at least 2 billion USD. The news is published in the leading media house Reuters. Amazon will have a roughly 5 percent stake in Bharti Airtel as per the current market value. Airtel is the third largest telecom company and it has 300 million subscribers. The discussion between them came at a time after the global players are placing several bets on the digital platform of Reliance Industries which owns Jio.

Reliance Jio raised 10 billion USD in the recent weeks through the deals. The deal terms between Amazon and Airtel may change as the talks are just in the early stages. Amazon was tightlipped to comment on the deal. Bharti Airtel said they are working with several players to bring content for their subscribers. As of now, there is no big news said Airtel. Amazon says that India is a crucial market and is investing a huge amounts to expand its e-commerce firm.
