Nagarjunsagar-Srisailam Cruise Launched By Telangana Tourism:- The Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation has launched one of the most scenic tourist initiative, the Nagarjunsagar-Srisailam Cruise on the river Krishna. And it has commenced its operations.
The cruise that covers a distance of 110 km on the river that makes its way through the picturesque Nallamalla forest range. While the cruise takes about 6 hours one way, the tourism department has packaged it in such away, that the two-day trip begins from Hyderabad by road on Wednesdays and Saturdays packaging it with Srisailam temple visit.
The tourist package starts from Hyderabad by bus and reaches Nagarjunasagar. The tourists board the cruise from there and visit the Nagajunakonda Museum. Thereafter, they are served food during the journey to Srisailam. They stay in the night at the tourism guest house, after reaching Srisailam. They have darshan at the Mallikarjunaswamy temple in the next morning, and then start their journey back to Hyderabad.
A road drive cum river cruise, the Hyderabad-Nagarjunsgar-Srisailam-Hyderabad is covered by the tourism department. For the all inclusive trip, the adults are charged Rs 3,800, while for the children it costs Rs 3000. There are also separate cruise only packages.
With Nagarjunasagar receiving heavy inflows during October, facilitating the cruise trip, the cruise has been initiated. During the cruise and road journey, the tourists also get to explore the scenic beauty of Nallamalla forest range.
