Tata Motors and Samsung to collaborate

Indian auto maker Tata Motors will tie up with South Korean smartphone giant Samsung to provide infotainment in cars. From next year Tata Motors would launch passenger vehicles that will be equipped with Samsung's 'Drive Link Application' on MirrorLink technology which helps the driver to navigate, answer calls and access Internet and music.

Sources say that Tata Motors and Samsung have been working jointly on this project for the past six months and atlast their efforts seems to have paid off. Tata motors also want to bring this system to the small car segment not just restricting it to high valued cars like Safari and Aria. This is Samsung's second deal with an auto maker and earlier they have collaborated with German auto maker BMW.
