Indian budget airlines, Spice Jet has reportedly ordered for 40 Boeing 737 passenger jets worth $ 4 Billions as the country's fourth largest airlines is seeking to attract new investors. However Spice Jet spokeswoman declined to comment on this but Boeing has confirmed that an unidentified company has placed the order.
Spice Jet recorded a huge quarterly loss in November 2013 due to weak Rupee and global crisis. Owned by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Group, sources say that Spice Jet has some potential investors who are showing keen interest but were kept under the mat to have smooth flow of investments which can revamp the airlines.
