Gold jewelers and importers were very keen about the metal price going beyond the Rs 29,000 mark but the wait had been too long. Gold rate which was hovering under the Rs 30,000 mark has finally hit the floor and went below the Rs 29,000 mark just before the marriage season. The wait has finally paid off.

Akshay Tritiya and Weddings are the order of this summer season which will continue through June and there is good news. The Multi Commodity Exchange for June delivery has listed Gold at Rs 28,945 today for 10 gms of 24k gold at 1003 GMT today. Earlier the prices were just over Rs 29,005 for the same.

The prices are expected to shoot up quickly though, since the import and the demand are going to be very high in the coming few days.
