With their recent launch of the highly affordable SUV, Duster, Renault automakers have also scheduled another release today in the sedan segment. The French automobile manufacturers have launched the Renault Scala in petrol and diesel variants.

The Renault Scala would pose a stiff competition to the Nissan Sunny with the gamut of features that it offers to the customers both interiors and exteriors. Beige leather seats, spacious interiors, 5-seater capacity, and even climate controlled AC are just enough features that would woo people to go for this new hot car in town. Enhanced safety features such as the Anti Lock Braking System, Electronic Brake Force Distribution, superior suspension are available. You need not even compromise in the connectivity and infotainment options.

You are terribly wrong if you had expected a premium price for the vehicle though. The basic model would start at Rs5.9 lakhs (ex-showroom New Delhi) and the top end models would not me more that Rs 80,000 higher. The petrol version of Scala would have an 1498cc XH2 engine while the K9K engine with a capacity of 1461cc would be present in the diesel versions. Petrol variants have automatic or manual 5-speed gear transmission while the diesel variant would need your hand commands to shift gears. The diesel variant would be highly embraced considering the price range and the large array of options available.
