Man Held for Smuggling Rs 45 Lakh Foreign Currency in Groundnut Shells:- A passenger who attempted to smuggle Rs 45 lakh worth foreign currency has been held by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officials in New Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport. The passenger has been identified as Murad Alam and he was spotted hiding the foreign currency in groundnut shells along with biscuit packets and other edible items in his luggage. A video surfaced across the social media circles in which the CISF personnel was spotted cracking groundnut shells and the rolls of the currency notes have been stuffed after they are tied together.

The officials also found the foreign currency packed in biscuit packets. CISF tweeted saying "Vigilant #CISF personnel apprehended a passenger namely Mr Murad Alam carrying a high volume of foreign currency worth approx. INR 45 lakh concealed in peanuts, biscuit packets & other eatable items kept inside his baggage @ IGI Airport, Delhi. Passenger was handed over to customs,". Murad Alam was spotted when he was on his way to Dubai and is handed over to the Customs. An investigation on this is on about the incident.
