Donkeys Married for Telangana Rains:- Shattered with the poor monsoon this year, Telangana people performed marriage for two donkeys praying for the rain god to show mercy on the people of the state. The donkey wedding took place in Harijan Basti located in Bowenpally in the Pochamma temple a couple of days ago. People performed dances, drum-beating and sung during the wedding. The entire wedding happened as per the Hindu tradition. According to the India Meteorological Department, the monsoon covers during the second week of July but the rainfall in the state was quite disappointing.

The locals said that they performed a similar wedding four years ago and they got abundant rains that year. There were no sufficient rains for the past two years in Telangana. The locals believe that marriage between donkeys would bring rains as in Dwapar Yug. Lord Krishna's father Vasudev touched the foot of donkeys to overcome the troubles. They are now super confident that rains will arrive next week across Telangana.
