What would generally be the cost of an Underwear? May be not more than Rs.1000, however good company it is. But how would you react, when you come across  Underwear that costs a few thousands of pounds.

Yes, you heard it right; a pair of Queen Victoria’s cotton underwear with a 45 inch waistline could fetch thousands of pounds, which is getting ready to be auctioned next week.

Auctioneer Richard Edmonds said the royal clothing is still in excellent condition, as it is preserved in the tissue paper in a temperature controlled storeroom.

Mr Edmonds, the principal auctioneer said that, "it is very rare to get a royal cloth in this good condition."

"Items of Queen Victoria's clothing were often given to members of the royal household, particularly after her death in 1901."

“The UK residents would be showing more interest to buy this type of royal clothing. Even the market is very strong in America and Russia. A lot of people come forward to buy online, or over the phone and a few others, even attend the auction rooms to buy the royal cloth”, he said.
