When All India Institute of Medical Sciences Patna (AIIMS) announced faculty wanted for teaching medical subjects, many applications were received by them. But 90% of the applicants have not done Medical courses at all.
It was astonishing to see the applications from an M.Com, from an Ag B.Sc. and also someone who is pursuing a degree course to take few odd cases as an example. It was quite clearly stated in the advertisement in the wanted column that only MBBS passed candidates should apply.
It is only unemployment in Bihar on rise day by day that has made them to apply for all the posts because of an urge to do some job or other to make both ends meet- is the reason as arrived at by the AIIMS authorities.
AIIMS Director G.K.Singh said that the applicants have not read the advertisement completely in haste. But, he said the applications not complying with the requirements are being rejected.
