Legendary Telangana Singer Gaddar is no more:- Renowned Telangana folk singer aka People’s singer Gaddar passed away on Sunday while undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Hyderabad.

Gummadi Vittal Rao popularly called Gaddar, 77 years old underwent open heart surgery on August 3rd. He expired on Sunday due to his profound illness related to a heart ailment. He is from Toopram of Medak district and is known for his revolutionary songs during the naxal moment in united Andhra Pradesh.

Gaddar for the first time voted in the 2018 assembly election. Currently, he is in congress party and even attended a few party meetings recently. He also launched his own political party called Gaddar Praja Party. He also had discussions with evangelist KA Paul’s Praja Shanthi party, which didn't go well.

Gaddar was shot in 1997 by some unknown assailants. He survived yet the revolutionary singer carries a bullet in his spinal cord.

Many celebrities and politicians were shocked by Gaddar’s death and expressed their grief. Gaddar’s contribution towards the playback film industry goes beyond artistic talent. Gaddar was awarded Nandi for Best Lyricist for Malletheega Ku Pandiri vole from Orey Rickshaw. He was also awarded Nandi for play back singing for Jai Bolo Telangana.
