Swami Poornananda Arrested In a Sexual Assault Case:- A Godman from Vizag was arrested for repeatedly sexually harassing a minor girl at his Ashramam. A minor orphan girl, who lost her parents is living in Swami Poornananda Ashramam since 2016. The girl reportedly went missing on June 13th, Police have registered a case and examined CCTV footage on June 15. A 64-years old Swami Poornananda is a highly qualified person with a double master's degree, B.Ed., and a Law degree.

According to the complaint registered on the godman, The girl was physically tortured and was also raped at Swami Gananananda Ashram, Venkojipalem. The victim was tied with a chain in Swamiji’s bedroom. She was allowed to take a bath once a week and given only two spoons of food. The girl somehow managed to escape from the Ashram with the help of a domestic helper on June 13th. She explained her trauma to a woman passenger on a train. The woman tried to help the victim and tried joining her in the Kakinada hostel, where the management demanded a letter from the police.

She took the girl to Child Welfare Committee (CWC). With the help of CWC, the girl was sent to Disha police station and a case was registered on Swamiji under the POSCO Act. The victim is currently in Vijayawada Government Hospital for medical tests. Poornananda was arrested. Swamiji was arrested in 2012 in a sexual assault case and was released later.

Besides this, a few media channels are reporting that because of the land conspiracy, Swamiji was blamed for these allegations. Police are investigating the case and the truth is awaited.
