AP Govt announces a house committee to probe on Pegasus issue:- A week ago, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced that Chandrababu Naidu, the ex-Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh used Pegasus spyware to spy on the leaders in the state. This news created a stir across AP politics. Chandrababu Naidu and TDP leaders announced that the government never purchased Pegasus spyware or used it during their regime. The government of Andhra Pradesh announced a legislative house committee to investigate the matter. The announcement was made in the Assembly house yesterday. The committee will have nominated members and it would be formed in the next couple of days. Assembly Speaker Tammineni Seetharam announced the news after the request was made by the State's Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy and Chief Whip Gadikota Srikanth Reddy.

The Speaker suspended 11 members of TDP from the house for the disruption of the topic. YSRCP MLA Ambati Rambabu said that Chandrababu was allegedly involved in the phone tapping of the opposition leaders for years. There should be a truth in the statement of Mamata Banerjee told the leaders of YSRCP. The leaders alleged that the state's Intelligence Chief AB Venkateswara Rao bought the spyware from Israel in 2017 through a firm that is owned by his son.

Nara Lokesh responded by saying that TDP is not worried and he asked the government to form a house committee or a judicial committee or investigate the matter through CBI. He asked the government to go ahead with the investigation. He asked the government also to order a probe on the death of YS Vivekananda Reddy.
