The discussion was made in the Assembly about the statement of Mamata Banerjee about the procurement of Pegasus spyware from NSO Group, an Israeli company. The Speaker suspended 11 members of TDP from the house for the disruption of the topic. YSRCP MLA Ambati Rambabu said that Chandrababu was allegedly involved in the phone tapping of the opposition leaders for years. There should be a truth in the statement of Mamata Banerjee told the leaders of YSRCP. The leaders alleged that the state's Intelligence Chief AB Venkateswara Rao bought the spyware from Israel in 2017 through a firm that is owned by his son.

Nara Lokesh responded by saying that TDP is not worried and he asked the government to form a house committee or a judicial committee or investigate the matter through CBI. He asked the government to go ahead with the investigation. He asked the government also to order a probe on the death of YS Vivekananda Reddy.
